Ann's Comments (1991): "My first quilt, pieced by hand. Also, the last quilt I pieced by hand. This was made in a beginning quilt class at the Granary in Vallco Village (Cupertino, CA) and won a ribbon at the Santa Clara County Fair."

Additional comments:

Although Ann grew up in Northwestern Ohio where quilt making was a tradition and did some sewing in her youth, she never made a quilt before this one. Once she won the ribbon at the fair, however, there was no turning back.
