Personal Quilts

Ann never sold any of her artwork, but she did give it away to friends and worthwhile causes. She made pieces for baby presents, wedding presents, house-warming presents and for fund raising auctions at church. She made wall-hangings, pillows, quilt-pillows, and baby quilts. Each one was individualized for the recipient.

Sometimes she had to get creative in finding suitable fabric. For example, the Walt Disney Company doesn't produce a line of yard goods for the public, but she managed to get enough fabric out of some cotton boxers for more than one project. She also kept her eyes open for baseball, football, hockey and other team sports fabrics as well as music and animal themes.

These are just a sampling of the ones that she made over her roughly 10 years of avid quilt making.
