Celtic Crosses and Related Works

Beginning in 1996, Ann's work took a new turn. She had taken a number of classes at the Pacific School of Religion in Berkeley, CA relating theology and art. Out of this and her changing attitudes resulting from her breast cancer came the desire to 'simplify things', as she put it.

She used the Celtic Cross motif for a number of years, typically in the form of smaller units ranging in size from 15 to 22 inches on a side. But one work that she did in her role as Artist-in-Residence for her church resulted in 'crosses' that reach nearly 25 feet high.
