Ann's Comments (1991): "Made for Mariner's Sunday last fall.

I'd been wanting to try a piece in which the background was colored from dark to light and the foreground was colored from light to dark.

All the fabrics used were already in my collection, which I hoped might make Greg realize how vitally important it is to have a great number of fabrics on hand, should the creative urge strike. (It didn't work...)"

Additional comments:

While the piece itself isn't remarkable, this is the first instance of light to dark and dark to light overlaps in Ann's quilts. She continued on this theme in many subsequent works.

For those of you not familiar with them, Mariner Ships are Presbyterian fellowship groups for adult singles and couples that encourage members to live out their Christian faith at home, at work, and in their social life.
