Ann's Comments (1994): “Reds and bilious greens are among my favorite colors, so I enjoyed working with all the different ones on this quilt. A change of scale was the other variable I explored.

Due to workspace limitations, I constructed the diagonal strips one at a time, without being able to see them next to each other until they were pretty much finished.

Red is my favorite color – my fabric collection confirms that – and working with the complimentary colors red and green is very natural for me. In fact, it’s so easy to fall back on that combination that a conscious effort is required to include other hues.”
